HARES MEETING BY GERARD HOBSON.
Gerard Hobson a local printmaker has been invited to show a collection of his lino-printed birds and animals at Nunnington Galleries.
The gallery will be hosting a new artist exhibition of printmaking this autumn. Printmaker Gerard Hobson uses linocut as his medium to create a designs that are joyful, colourful images of animals, birds and landscapes. The art is graphically drawn birds and wild animals such as hares and foxes, against colourful plants and trees.
"Why copy something in nature that is perfect? I like to go off on an angle and use nature to take me to somewhere else," Gerard Hobson
We are very pleased to have this opportunity to show his work in the gallery for the first time and look forward to inviting you along to the gallery.
