Knoll Hill trees reflected in snow

Crisp snow carpeted the hills all around the village and in the early afternoon sun these incredible shadows fell across Knoll Hill.

I had to stand on the top rung of the field fence to get enough height to frame all the parts I wanted in this photograph. I love the crisp, bright and shadowy foreground with the soft, misty fields on the other side of the valley, in the middle distance.

Photographed using a Canon 5D Mark iii with 35mm lens.
