The Worsley Arms

The Worsley Arms hotel is located in Hovingham, a handsome Yorkshire village set in glorious Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you're planning to come by car, you've picked the touring base from heaven! Within a short drive, you've got historic York, the castle towns of Helmsley and Pickering, the market towns of Malton (8 miles) and Thirsk and the coastal joys of Whitby (and Scarborough. We're also right next to the North York Moors National Park and only 30 minutes drive to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Historic attractions such as Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall are right on our doorstep and walking or cycling opportunities abound.

Being built in 1841 in a late Georgian style, specifically to welcome guests to the area, we're often referred to as one of the prettiest hotels near York, surrounded by lovely villages like Ampleforth, Brandsby, Easingwold, Harome and Malton. We're a traditional North Yorkshire Hotel with 20 bedrooms, but offer all the modern conveniences you'd expect and 2 rosettes for food.
